The Big Picnic is an event held at Leith Hall, Estate and Gardens near Kennethmont, an extension to Hairst Day, it is a fun, family centred day focusing on the journey of food from growing/rearing and production to how it becomes the food on our plate.
Make a picnic made from some of the delicious food available at the Farmers Market on Saturday and bring a blanket and some games and enjoy the surroundings of the Leith Hall Estate.
There will be lots of interactive activities for everyone, with learning about Rare Breed animals, gardening lessons, foraging, crafting and nature trails making for a fun packed day at The Big Picnic.
